When I bracket my images, I typically use a remote shutter with the a camera on 2 second delay. On my first attempt of the day I must have accidentally pushed it to 10-sec delay and didn’t realize that until I released the shutter so I figured I might as well wait of the first set. You’d be surprised how long 10 seconds are on the beach: during that delay I managed to capture a girl running in one of the brackets and I was actually quite happy with how it came out, specially with the slightly blurred silhouette.

Here is a silhouette from the negative tide pools at La Jolla Cove from last Wednesday. Little did we know we had a spectacular sunset in store for us that day, I could’ve sworn I overheard someone mention that you always get amazing sunsets when you have negative tides! Can anyone confirm if this is a fact or myth?

Just a few tall Palm trees with a pretty sunset behind them. I was going to do an HDR of this but I thought the silhouette version was the best so I hope you like it, I thought of adding some variety

A silhouette of the stadium lights as they were coming on at Loftus Staidum in Tshwane/Pretoria. This was taken back in our trip to South Africa when they held the FIFA world cup there. I thought the lights coming on slowly would be an appropriate way to represent how some of our brains feel on Monday morning
