Running

When I bracket my images, I typically use a remote shutter with the a camera on 2 second delay. On my first attempt of the day I must have accidentally pushed it to 10-sec delay and didn’t realize that until I released the shutter so I figured I might as well wait of the first set. You’d be surprised how long 10 seconds are on the beach: during that delay I managed to capture a girl running in one of the brackets and I was actually quite happy with how it came out, specially with the slightly blurred silhouette.

Scripps Development Office

La Jolla, La Jolla Shores, Landscape, San Diego, Scripps Development Office, Scripps Seaside forum & venue rentals, sunset

As part of the Scripps Development this one is the Seaside forum & venue rentals office. Not sure why but every time I walk by this building I think of France! For the architecture scholars out there, is this considered french architecture? or just my imagination? :)

Under the Pier

HDR, La Jolla, La Jolla Shores, Landscape, Pacfic Ocean, San Diego, Scripps Pier, sunset, Symmetry

I’ve been wanting to take this image since I upgraded to a full frame camera as I couldn’t take the same image in landscape mode with my previous camera which had a crop sized sensor. The weather didn’t co-operate either when I attempted until two years later! I only attempted twice before though and it was really foggy so I didn’t bother.
