Dry Season

Clouds, Dry Field, HDR, Hurontario & Eglinton, Mississauga, Ontario, Soccer Field, West Toronto

Living in San Diego you hardly get to experience the seasons, we arguably have 2 seasons a year: summer & spring! :) This is an image of a soccer field in Mississauga taken from my Aunt’s balcony during the summer; as you can see it was quite a dry summer! Here is the same field 6 months earlier during the Holiday season.

Lifeguard Tower

Clouds, HDR, La Jolla, La Jolla Cove, La Jollla, Lifeguard Tower, San Diego, sunset

The lifeguard tower over children’s pool at La Jolla Cove around sunset. Considering how this the highest point overlooking the ocean and its on top of a rocky area, this is probably the central tower for La Jolla as the ocean is not very accesible from that point specially in case of an emergency!

Mississauga

Clouds, HDR, Landscape, Mississauga

A view of downtown Mississauga from my cousin’s balcony, this view was synonymous with this summer’s vacation as we typically started off the day by having a coffe in the balcony while making plans for the rest of the day. At least its the weekend and the weather is nice :)

Entrance & the Tower

This is the “Entrance” to the south side of the University of Toronto’s main campus, where the Engineering buildings reside and right in between the two poles is the CN Tower. I like how the University has closed the “inside” of the campus to cars and made it just accessible by foot.

PB Pier

An image of Pacific Beach’s Pier in San Diego. This is the unique Pier where its also a hotel for the closer portion of the pier; its a bunch of chalets on the outer edge while the pathway down the middle is open to the public. The remainder of the Pier is just a walkway for the public as the chalets end at one point. You can see the entrance here, check it out its quite funky :)

Walking to the Edge

Anther image from Mission Bay, I took this at the very end of my walk as the wind began to pick up and the temperature drop. What caught my attention besides the hues created by the sunset was the dead patches of grass that created a path that lead you to the edge of the bay, hence the title :)

Griffith Observatory

A full frontal view of the entrance to the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. Its located on top of Mt. Hollywood which will allow you to see the famous “Hollywood” sign and oddly for the city of Los Angeles; entrance and parking are free! There is a live show in the Planetarium however that does require cost $3-$7. We were heading to Venice Beach after so we didn’t have time to check out the show.

Longer days

Finally, Daylight savings time is back and we are going to get an extra hour before the sun sets. We are going to lose an hour of sleep but I really like having to leave the office and seeing some light outside, it just gives the feeling that there is still time to do other activities. An image I took of cars rushing to get out of the office and get home.

One last look

This was taken at Chicago’s O’Hare International airport back in April of this year. The gates were full of passengers waiting to board the plane so I decided to walk around, after all I had a 14 hour flight to Abu Dhabi and I was really stressing over how to kill the time. It was also interesting to think that in 14 hours I will move a day in a completely different continent, different country, different time zone; I had to take one last look at North America before I left :)

La Jolla Shores

A beautiful way to end the work week at La Jolla shores, not sure what it is about sunsets but they really do have a calming effect. A few minutes prior to this the lifeguards had announced that the beach was closing and that people should start leaving the water, and thats why you see all these people running out.
