2013A moving walkway can definitely save tired travellers a lot of energy by covering the long distances of today’s super terminals. I took this image from knee level and focused on the people in the far distance with a larger aperture (f/4.5), this was to soften the foreground and draw the eyes to the background. I tried to take another one with more of the foreground in focus (f/16) but a herd of people came into the frame and I couldn’t see an end to them, I had to get to my gate at one point
. This was taken in Toronto’s Pearson International Airport (Terminal 1) on one of my many trips back home.

2012For this week’s entry I’m going with the Ocean Beach Fishing Pier. I just squatted down for this image and made sure that I was right down the middle to get all my lines parellel

2012I really wanted to do an HDR of this image and I actually started out by doing so but after looking at what was really going on I didn’t think it was fitting or at least I didn’t like it. The place looks deserted and hasn’t been used in quite some time, the sign that says “Balboa Park Activity Center” has gunk on it! I thought the monochrome was more fitting for the scene.

2012A shed/storage room behind around Balboa Park that caught my attention. I ended up walking right up to the fence and its a Canyon with about a 100-200 ft drop! Not sure what was the purpose of this shed then but ah well, great photography opportunity so I won’t complain. I decided to go with a monochrome version of this image.
