2013A house around the corner of a round about in bird rock (La Jolla). I believe this is considered Creole (French influence) Architecture which I really like but I’m not really sure, is there any architecture expert out there that can confirm the style?

2012To the best of my knowledge most of the Northern Hemisphere has experienced a hotter than usual summer season, matter of fact some areas had record breaking temperatures recorded. With that comes extra energy consumption since more people are turning on their air conditioning on. Don’t worry, the energy companies have their meters on and recording every KWh that you are consuming, you’re bill will soon reflect it

2012“How many roads must a man walk down
Before they call him a man
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand
How many times must the cannonballs fly
Before they are forever banned
The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind”From Blowing in the Wind by Bob Dylan

2012I saw this colorful bench while walking around Bird Rock in La Jolla, a nice little promotion for the town but slightly hard to read! From a distance, I thought it was some form of artistic structure but once I got close to it it was obviously just a bench. I wanted to emphasize the “Birdrock” and less of the surroundings so I used a wide angle lens to make background appear smaller.

2012Another image from a Sunday stroll that I took in Bird Rock. At the intersection of Chelsea St. & Sea Ridge drive this house caught my attention as that designs of houses reminds me of the novel “Tom Sawyer”. The flag in the front lawn just with the short wooden fence added to that theme… maybe its just me!

2012Prior to my relocation to Southern California I had some preset “images” of what life in California would be. The above had to be one of them: a convertible 60s/70s Cadillac with palm trees in the background! I took this image in Bird Rock one day after lunch, it was just past noon so the lighting was really harsh and I decided to give it this vintage look. Bird Rock is small area in La Jolla that is very “California” so it was very fitting to find this Cadillac parked on its streets, it was just missing the surf board hanging out the back
