With it being Saturday and all, I thought it would be fitting to post a picture of La Jolla’s Recreation Center as most of us should be enjoying the time off. Happy Saturday
One of the nice things about low tides is getting the ability to see some of the wildlife that is undre the ocean. When I took this picture I truly believed that Barnacles were part of the plants kingdom but upon research its a relative of crabs & lobsters! Barnacles are exclusively marine, and tend to live in shallow and tidal waters, typically in erosive settings.

I wanted to have a little bit of fun with the pedestrian crosswalk by creating a bit of a motion blur to show that you should always look both ways before crossing I also entered this image into the movement and motion competition at the digital lightroom photography blog. It’s a great blog to follow if you want to improve your digital photography techniques, they frequently run competitions such as this one with some great photography goodies for the top three prize winners. Good luck to all entrants.
An image of Bailey, the Los Angeles Kings mascot, pausing to watch the action on the ice as the Los Angeles Kings try to rally from a one goal deficit. I was really amazed at how effective he was in getting the crowd back in the game to support the local team, whoever does this job needs to be outgoing, funny & quite the acrobat; I always wonder if this is a full-time job or part-time?!
An image of of some rusted iron tiles outside of a deserted structure in Pacific Beach.
The news is reporting that the economy is slowly turning around and its beginning to recover, I guess it didn’t apply to this surf shop that is located right at the beach in Pacific Beach, San Diego! The location can’t really get any better, I’ve seen a couple of of them being flipped into bars which will automatically attract many college students so I wonder how long this place will be closed down for.
