Forgetting is no surprise. Most of us seem to do so since it’s kind of a silly so-called holiday. Unless you need to go to the bank or post office…

Canada had a national holiday too (Thanksgiving)… As Gunta said above, its Columbus day in the US so only the government and the banks are closed.
