You just reminded me how much I hate to fly these days…

I love it but I was watching a frontline documentary last night called: “Cheap Flights” and it got me all uncomfortable with what goes on!!! Besides that, I love the travel experience except for dealing with customs… with my background I always get “randomly” selected for a secondary inspection

I think MY problem stems from the fact that I can remember the days when flying used to be such fun. You could hop on a plane on a whim and the atmosphere was relaxed and just plain fun….. now, with security checks (totally ridiculous) and overbooking and surly staff, it’s just a hassle. I had to fly my mom from Florida to Oregon when she developed Alzheimer’s. She had a “different” sort of name, a one-way ticket and was pulled out for the secondary check. She was 90 years old, had trouble walking and had NO idea what was going on and they wouldn’t let me stay with her. Absolutely ABSURD!!! Haven’t flown since.

I also get “randomly” selected quite often when traveling… if my hair is dark. Great photo. It reminds me of how hectic traveling can be.
