A Smart Car parked on the streets of downtown San Diego. Smart cars are practical for city life but I wouldn’t recommend one if you have use the freeway regularly just for safety reason. For example, vehicles in North America are generally larger than compared to Europe.

hmmm… then again, if your suv is hit by a dump truck you’re also cooked. By your logic we should all be running around in armored tanks? and then how do we take it to the next level? I think they’re really cute and I always wanted to drive a Mercedes Benz…..

A friend of mine just reminded me after this post that he used to own one and he once got t-boned and the car held up fine so he attests to its safety. So there you go… proves I don’t know what I’m talking about

Yeah but I would rather get hit in the suv by the dump truck versus this cute transit mobile. I would hope that this is the way of the future and SUV sales are definitely slowing down due to the high price of gas so maybe one day the majority of vehicles on the road will be similar to this one.

I agree, I’d love to see the cars get smaller but I think that would take generations in America… the roads are wider, the parking spots are bigger, everything is larger so they’re not too inclined to conserve space! Having said one can still dream
